Our best meal in Italy! We loved the warm family service and the fresh meat and cheeses. With the bill they brought us this delicious sweet wine with biscuits, and the truffle pasta was delicious. They're so genuinely friendly and the best cooks. Will never forget this place!

We had a wonderful meal at Antica Bottega al Duomo! Food was gorgeous and service was wonderful. We had the pappedelle wild boar and spaghetti fungi. For desert our wonderful hostess gave us almond biscotti with desert wine - fabulous. Our only regret was it was our last night in Orvieto and we could not return! Wonderful food, service and value for money! Highly recommended.

This family-style restaurant is minutes away walking from the grand duomo. A must go! We strolled in around 3pm so it’s quiet. The woman who received us spoke flawless English and was filled with smile and good spirit. She recommended food and wine to us - everything turned out to be fantastically delicious. We ordered home-made red to go with our food. She also generously treated us with after meal wine (strong!) and another sweet wine to go with complimentary dessert (so good!). Check out the emptied glasses on our table😅
A pleasant chat with the owner revealed the story: she had opened and operated an Italian restaurant in North Bergen New Jersey in the US for many years, before going back to hometown Orvieto for her daughter’s education. She and Lucy had a great ‘rendezvous’ about Jersey City over places they knew in common. This might explain all the free treats we were offered😆.
When you are in Orvieto and near the Duomo, do pay a visit to this place - you won’t be disappointed, in any way.Stop browsing - go here! One of the very best meals we’ve had in the whole of Italy. I had the wild boar sauce on pasta and it was divine. My partner had artichoke pasta in truffle oil and again it was amazing. Service fantastic atmosphere soft and warm. Well priced as well with decent size portions.
The pasta was even better than the salad. Salad has a HUGE portion and it’s not bad. But I did expect better. The bread was very stale and not great. But for the vibes and the pasta! 5 stars ⭐️!

One oft he best Panine at Orvieto. Owner not too much a conversation guy, but service by the young guy who prepared the food was very friendly and diligent. Like the old pictures on visitors. Recommended...

Awesome experience! The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had 2 great pasta dishes, the restaurant was well decorated for Halloween and had so much personality, and they had karaoke! We had a blast singing with random people as well as some staff. We definitely want to go back.

We have loved the place, the food and atmosphere and especially how welcomed we were. Everything was great, and we had dinner for the whole group of 5 families. Big big thank you, Martina, you are amazing! Thank you so much for welcoming us. So much joy. We have ordered wine, boards of appetizers, bruschettas, different pastas, and deserts.
